Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Pudina (Mint Leaves)
  • 1 bunch Coriander (Cilantro)
  • 4 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 5 Green Chilies
  • 1 Lime Squeeze the juice. Adding lime gives the tanginess to the chutney as well as retains the bright green color.
  • 2 tsp Jeera (Cumin seeds)
  • 12 Almonds Soaked in warm water for 10 mins and peeled.
  • 1/4 cup Sev (Gram flour snack) or Split Dhalia
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add 2 tbsp water to the above ingredients and grind to a smooth paste. Try it and adjust spice and salt level accordingly. You can add more water if it’s too thick and difficult to grind.
  • Yum with all chaat items, as an accompaniment for samosas, cutlets and as a spread for sandwiches, vada pav, etc.

Tips

  • You can swap sev with roasted gram (pottu kadalai) but I like the taste when sev is added.
