Yummiest Bread Pudding
This heavenly bread pudding, crafted by my talented chef/husband, is a symphony of flavors and textures. Simply drizzle, mix, bake, and indulge with vanilla ice cream. For extra flair, mix up the bread types or add chocolate chips!
Ingredients
- 8 slices White Bread cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped or crushed
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 4 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Ghee or butter (melter)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350o F
- Spread the bread pieces on a pie pan. Drizzle ghee over it and add walnuts to it and mix gently.
- Whisk eggs in a bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients – heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, ground cinnamon to the eggs and pour this mixture over the bread pieces. Mix gently and soak for a minute.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes till the top part turns nice and brown.
- Serve hot with a dollop or two of Vanilla ice cream (or Vanilla sauce) while watching your favorite movie.
Tips
- Mix up the bread – part grainy, part white, maybe even a croissant.
- If you are a chocolatey person like me, add half handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Replace white bread with Brioche for a richer taste.
