Instructions
Now, lets mix!
Gently, mix all the ingredients under 'Marinade' together along with paneer, red onions and green pepper and marinate for 15 mins.
Use your hands to deflate the dough, and knead it 4 to 5 times until smooth on a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into two halves. Roll one ball of dough using a rolling pin for about 12" by 8".
Transfer dough to a parchment paper lined pizza pan and either pinch the edges or fold them over to form a crust. I didn't do it because I like it thin on the edges too.
Use a fork to make holes all over the pizza to keep the dough from bubbling up in the oven.
Drizzle additional olive oil (about a Tablespoon) over the top of the pizza and use your pastry brush to brush the entire surface of the pizza (including the crust) with olive oil. This will add flavor and also help the crust get golden and crispy.
Add desired quantity of pizza sauce on top, followed by a generous amount of grated mozzarella if you are a cheese lover like me.
Add marinated paneer and sliced jalapenos over it.
I sprinkle a bit more cheese on top of the paneer layer.
Bake in a 425℉ preheated oven for 15 mins or until the toppings are golden brown. Check if the bottom is evenly browned. Slice and serve it hot with some crushed pepper on top. Enjoy it with a soda, while watching a movie on a weekend!!
Tip
Bread flour gives a slightly crispier bottom but I normally have all-purpose in my pantry.
The dough can be prepared in advance. Let the dough rise covered at room temperature as indicated in the recipe, deflate it, wrap it tightly so it doesn't dry out and store it in the refrigerator for couple weeks.
You can add any toppings you wish. You can also add ½ tsp of mixed herbs over it but this is totally optional.
Marinated paneer tastes better than plain paneer because it becomes too dry otherwise.
